While the sighting of an unexplainable light pattern or aircraft in the sky can and seemingly does occur just about everywhere sooner or later, there are some places that seem to draw in UFO's like moths to a candle flame. There so-called "hotspots" tend to have a much higher percentage of UFO sightings than other, seemingly similar, places around the world. It is not just the secluded forests and deserts that draw UFO activity. Many of the most populous areas and cities also provide these high per capita sighting reports. It begs the question of just what is so interesting in these oft-visited places that bring such a large number of unidentified craft flying over.

Arizona, in the United States, has experienced more than its share of high-profile UFO cases. Leading the state in reports is the city of Phoenix. As well as the well-documented case of the "Phoenix Lights" in 1997, Arizona's Apache National Forest was the location of the famous Travis Walton abduction. Sedonia, Arizona also reports higher than normal UFO traffic. Metaphysicists say UFO's are drawn to Sedonia because it lies at the intersection of natural Earth energies or vortices (read lay lines) in the area.

Just north of Arizona is the state with the highest per capita percentage of UFO sightings and reports. Colorado is well known for its high elevation and the Rocky Mountains. It also contains Saguache County, which seems to be at the center of the greatest UFO activity. While Nevada reports a greater per capita sighting ratio, possibly because of the fame of the "secret" Area 51, Texas reports over five times as many sightings. Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, and Minnesota also see much more UFO activity than the well-traveled Highway 95 out of Rachel, Nevada.

Mexico City, Mexico, has also become a major UFO hotspot over the last twenty years. From the multiple sightings on July 11, 1991 when the fleet of unidentified craft stole the show from the solar eclipse that was taking place, to 2005 when the greatest recorded mass sighting was filmed over the city, Mexicans have often been presented with spectacular aerial displays.

While they rarely get groups of UFO's over their town, Bonnybridge, Scotland can claim a record for the most sightings from any town in the world. With an average of 300 separate reports a year, it is no wonder the local government petitioned the Prime Minister to order an official investigation into the matter. To date, those investigations have still been regrettably inconclusive. Warminster in Wiltshire, England may be most famous for crop circles but also manages one of the highest incident levels in the UK for UFO sightings. Some believe this is because UFO's are still using nearby Stonehenge as a navigational marker for their flights.

These possibly extraterrestrial visitors do not neglect the Southern Hemisphere. Barely 150 miles South of Santiago, Chili, a 19 mile long section of road near San Clement has been host to so many UFO sightings that the tourism department has attempted to cash in on the phenomena by renaming the road "The UFO Trail."

Down under in Australia, Wycliffe Well in the Northern Territory has some of the highest UFO activity in the world. Not only are UFO's repeatedly sighted, the number of abduction cases has garnered the town with a reputation as the alien abduction capitol of the continent. Even the nearby military air base cannot account for the recurring sightings and visitations that seem to so plague this otherwise peaceful town which the metaphysicists say also falls on natural Earth energy lines like Sedonia, Arizona and Stonehenge.

strange flying houses

Strange sightings of floating houses seen worldwide

Most UFO sightings involve flying crafts, or may an alien visitor of some sort, but the following sightings were something entirely different: actual buildings or other structures flying through the air under their own power. These sightings occurred over a several year period and in different locations worldwide, including Canada, the U.S. and England.

The first sighting occurred in the Canadian wilderness in 1998 when a man saw a large unidentified flying object in the shape of a square building hovering over his fields along with a building sized light. The man said he didn’t see a bottom to the object on the ground, but instead the large structure was just hovering above the tree line. No explanation was ever given or discovered for this encounter.

In that same year in Colorado, someone else saw a strange large structure floating in the air. A man and his wife were looking out their apartment window and saw a box shaped flying object bigger than a football field with block like projections moving slowing behind a mountain at the end of town. It made no sound and traveled close to the ground. The couple thought it may be a government project since there is a base nearby, but they didn’t hear anything about it.

The following year a similar sighting happened in southwestern Texas. A woman was driving late at night and thought she saw the lighted windows of a tall building in the distance. Since it was a road she traveled often, it confused her because there shouldn’t have been a building at that location. Yet, there it was in the middle of nowhere, so she stopped to investigate.

When she got out of the car to look closer, she notice that it was about seven or eight stories high and had lit windows and no sound was coming from it. The thing that disconcerted her besides it being there in the first place was the fact that it wasn’t attached to the ground. When she noticed this, she got scared and left quickly and reported it to her son. He went back to check, but the strange floating structure was nowhere to be seen.

The last report comes from England when someone saw a yellow colored, L-shaped building about six stories high with three balconies in the back flying over them. The building appeared to be propelled by two mesh butterfly shaped wings and had a purple light emanating from it. The bottom too had three white lights and large pipes, with two lights in the back and one in front. It appeared to be made of a concrete-like substance and made a low humming noise as it flew.
These are all very odd happenings and no one is sure what they saw.

Was it real buildings flying overhead? Was it a hologram of some sort being projected? Was it merely a mass hallucination?

Time will tell if more of these strange flying buildings are seen or if these are just isolated incidents that no one can explain.

One of the most damaging aspects of UFO research and investigation comes in the form of people who, for whatever reason, perpetuate a hoax or tell an outright lie about an unidentifiable sighting. So often a UFO is seen so briefly that there is not time to take pictures or capture other credible proof and the witness has only the value of their word to lend weight to the information they share. Liars not only dilute this trust in another person's honestly but also inject often misleading and confusing elements to the UFO phenomena that may take years, if ever, to weed out and eliminate. Those who bring forth film and photographs of some object they have constructed and photographed are even worse.

An example of how a lie can run around the world is the 1897 report from a Mr. Alexander Hamilton of Yates Center, Kansas. One night he reportedly saw a cigar shaped UFO hovering over the field of his farm as humanoid aliens roped one of his calves and attempted to draw it into their craft. The report was printed in the local newspaper along with the sworn statements of other civic leaders and the editor as to Mr. Hamilton's honesty. Other newspapers around the country quickly picked up this story and the "calfnapping" entered ufology as a fact for nearly a hundred years.

It was not until 1977 when Robert Schadewald did an intensive records investigation that the truth finally was exposed. It seems that Mr. Hamilton, along with the newspaper editor and a number of the other civic dignitaries who espoused him were all part of a "liars club" in the town and the story was just one of their entries into the yearly competition.

The case of the Hudson Valley Lights spanning the majority of the 1980's is an example of a group of hoaxers attempting to confuse legitimate reports. Beginning in 1981, a huge V-shaped craft was often seen passing slowly over the area. It was always at night and the patterns of multi-colored lights were quite noticeable. Some of the more notorious sightings came from such facilities as the Indian Point Nuclear Plant in Buchanan, New York. A number of times guards and supervisors at the nuclear power plant witnessed a huge craft over their plant. It was described as being approximately 1,000 feet across. Sometimes it hovered as close as 30 feet from the reactor and once a Security Supervisor had begun to initiate a call to the military to see if they could shoot down the unknown object threatening the reactor. By 1983 a group of investigators associated with Dr. J. Allen Hynek took up station in Hudson Valley to study the recurring appearances of this huge craft.

Then enters a group of deliberate hoaxers called the "Stormville Flyers" who thought to confuse the issue and confound the people in the area. Piloting a group of ultra-light airplanes, they rigged extra bright lights to their craft and would infrequently take to the air, flying in formation to make it appear from the ground that their individual planes were in fact just a part of a larger craft. Occasionally they would break apart and perform other maneuvers just to keep the UFO reports from being too consistent. The only possible way to differentiate the real UFO sightings from the hoaxers was in the reports of sound. The huge craft reported at Indian Point was silent. Often the reports, especially the ones where the lights seemed to perform independent movements, spoke of a low buzzing sound. However, the damage was done and these deceptive airmen had corrupted the data from Hudson Valley.

The Gulf Breeze UFO. Photo by Edward Walters

Such "practical jokes" have helped feed the cause of debunkers and skeptics while diluting the validity of countless honest reports of strange unidentified craft in our sky. Now even what "proof" or pictures as can be captured are instantly taken as fake unless they can irrefutably prove their veracity. Was the model of a "spaceship" found in a house previously occupied by Edward Walters of Gulf Breeze, Florida, a plant created and positioned by skeptics to discredit his photographs and stories or did he actually fake the pictures himself? He passed several polygraph tests and there were unexplained anomalies in the ground around where he said the craft landed.

With the number of lies and hoaxers that have muddied the waters of UFO investigation it is just that much harder to know what to believe. Meanwhile, if the alien pilots of real extraterrestrial craft have a sense of humor, they must surely be doing their equivalent of laughing at our species because of our, oh, so human practice of discrediting each other's integrity.

The reported crash of an unidentified flying saucer in the desert farmland outside Roswell, New Mexico in the summer of 1947 is one of the most well known incidences in UFO lore. It had the potential to broaden humanity's awareness of things far outside our normal experience and prove that the cosmos is after all much greater in significance than the problems of a single planet. However, the Roswell incident instead created a fundamental change in the way the average person viewed the military and our own government.

Coming up on the mid-century mark, especially in the United States, there was still an element of trust in our federal government. It had seen the country through two world wars and a major economic disaster. It had comforted and provided for its citizens and they felt they were in good hands, whether they were actually correct or not. Beginning with the cover-up of the Roswell story this unshakable trust in the honesty and openness of our leaders began to shiver.

Colonel William Blanchard was the Commander of the 509th Bomb Group out of Roswell Army Air Field. He has been described by those who knew him as honest, businesslike and reliable. The 509th was an elite air group, being at the time the only atomic group in the world. Brought in on the investigation of strange wreckage, what was found seemed to be truly amazing to the investigators. A press release was issued describing their efforts at recovering the debris of an otherworldly craft whose remains demonstrated unusual physical properties. It the interest of the people, Colonel Blanchard was merely reporting to the world an event of vast importance to its people. Regrettably, not everyone in the high ranks of our military agreed with that openness.

General Roger Ramey showing off a weather balloon at a press conference on July 8, 1947. His claim was that the debris from the Roswell crash were the same, despite not showing any crash material for comparison.

Within hours a new press release was issued. This one came from General Roger Ramey, 400 miles away from the scene at the Fort Worth (Texas) Army Air Field. Without any way of knowing the reality of Colonel Blanchard's find, he rescinded their report and stated that the elite military officers of the 509th had foolishly mistaken a simple weather balloon as the source of the debris. However illogical the tale that top military men could make such a childish mistake, the fix was in and the cover-up had begun.

It was years before the men actually involved in the recovery of the crash remains once more refuted the official story. One of those who later told of the strange unearthly properties of the material were Major Jesse Marcel, intelligence officer for the 509th. Another key witness to the initiation of the cover-up was the late General Thomas DuBose, then a colonel and Chief of Staff for General Ramey at Fort Worth. In 1992 he went on record as being the individual who took the phone call from General Clements McMullen at Andrews Army Air Field in Washington, D.C. His orders were to "concoct a "cover story" to get the press off our backs."

Within a few years there had begun the campaign to ridicule and deride any reports of UFO's and extraterrestrials and derail any serious investigations as the ranting of kooks and lunatics. The stonewalling of information became so widespread as to even gut the legitimacy of the Freedom of Information Act, which had been designed as a means of preventing authoritarianism from overcoming the freedoms that were an integral part of America's liberty. It was easy to deny the existence of information. What little was handed over was usually so blacked out "in the interest of National Security" that they were virtually useless. Even Congressmen and some Presidents were denied access to whatever information might give light to the truth of alien encounters.

The most important result of the Roswell incident was not whether aliens had crashed but that our own military and government had begun a long crusade to lie to and misinform the people whose trust they were sworn to uphold. They began to hide the knowledge they had gained worse than a miser hoarding his money. It slowly became clear to the citizens of this country and eventually even the world, whether they believed in UFO's or not, that their leaders and their rulers could not be trusted. It was a rude awakening for intelligent, adult people to have their concerns shunted aside with the callous attitude that they were too immature to handle the truth and that they should shut up, pay their taxes, and let Big Brother take care of them without oversight or accountability. Roswell was the beginning of the end for people's belief in the trustworthiness of their government.

More Wiki Leaks UFO Info Emerges

Stand by UFO fans, it appears that WikiLeaks has released some additional information on the U.S. diplomatic cables that mention UFOs and extraterrestrial activities. These cables are a result of several thousand such bits of information that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange announced weeks ago that he had that held classified information proving the existence and worldwide cover up of aliens and UFOs.

One cable that spoke on the Russians and the money that they had been spending on UFO research before the end of the cold war was previously released in the beginning of the year.

The cable was based on statements by Yuriy Zhadobin, chairman of the intelligence service of the former Soviet Republic of Belarus., in which he spoke on the fact that the Soviet Union used to have unlimited funding for UFO and extraterrestrial study.

This new cable is from November 2005 and contains information that states the U.S. State Department was allegedly telling U.S. Embassy employees in the Ukraine to not talk about any UFOs that were entering the Earth’s orbit or talk about any concerns the Department of Defense had on these incidents.

This marks some of the first evidence that the State Department has ever mentioned UFOs or suggests they are of interest to the Department of Defense. It also feeds into the cover-up theories that have been bantered about for years since it says that the embassy personnel aren’t to discuss the matter.

This begs one to wonder if there are other such cables that actually list UFO incidents that may have been documented in greater details.

With the thousands of UFO sightings reported every year, and the seemingly lack of physical evidence, wouldn’t cables such as these appear to prove these craft and their alien occupants exist?

One would think that any information on UFOS would of course be of great interest to the US State Department. It isn’t likely any of their cables would contain technological information, but it appears they do contain information of interest to UFO enthusiasts that could perhaps prove that there has been a government cover-up of information on the topic.

Wikileaks has only released about 2,000 of the about 250,000 diplomatic cables they say they have in their possession that could contain UFO information. Assange has said that there may be more UFO information in some of the ones that haven’t been released yet.

The information is thought to be something that could uncover just how much the U.S. and other countries have possibly investigated, and/or tried to hide any data on UFOs or extraterrestrial life.

WikiLeaks, which began in 1996, is an international service organization that helps whistleblowers and journalists make public classified or otherwise secret information gleaned from government sources.

So, keep on listening UFO enthusiasts, as there are probably more of these types of cables that will surface and when they do, people all over the world will be anxiously awaiting the information that comes out in them.

The belief in the reality of extraterrestrial aliens and their unidentified aircraft has had a long and sometime speckled career. A hundred and fifty years ago it was not uncommon for a newspaper to carry the story of an inexplicable sighting of a flying aircraft. It was fairly well accepted that these objects must have come from another world since we Earthlings had yet to develop even the most rudimentary airplane of our own. There were even reports of the infrequent encounter with beings that were quite obviously not natural to this planet. Even then there were still the skeptics who felt such reporting was a sensational attempt at fooling the people and selling more papers.

A fleet of 'temperature inversions' over the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. July 1952

By the mid Twentieth Century these sightings became more frequent and widespread. As we entered the Atomic Age it seems that the number of UFO's spotted around the globe mushroomed as greatly as the radioactive clouds over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is almost as if, by unleashing the awesome power of the destructed atom, we had drawn intense and increasing outside surveillance on our actions as a species. Suddenly world governments and the militaries they supported were being ordered to investigate these objects and let their citizens know if there was any danger to be expected from them. Sadly, those governments failed their trust towards their people.

Rather than provide straight answers about the findings of their investigations, the people were offered often ridiculous 'explanations" and told to shut up and not trouble themselves about UFO's. The government and military of the United States especially took a more dastardly approach. Misrepresenting the findings of the Air Force's Condon Report, a campaign of ridicule began to be spread across the land. Aided by the major media outlets, anyone who saw a UFO must by default be a kook or crazy and deserving of scorn. At the very best, anyone coming forth with a report of what they saw was publicly discredited as a liar. This publicly sanctioned attitude thrived for over thirty years before something changed.

Beginning in the 1980's popular media like books, movies, and television began a slow infiltration of the public consciousness with the idea of beings from other worlds. Their interpretations changed from the bug-eyed monsters of early pulp science fiction and took on a more benign demeanor such as that of E.T. who just wanted to go home. By the end of the Twentieth Century, despite conservative's perpetual skepticism, a growing belief in the reality of extraterrestrials and UFO's reblossomed and became an accepted concept in the minds of the majority of citizens.

The 1958 Trindade Island Brazil 'saturn'-shaped UFO was photographed while being seen by more qualified observers than any other 1950's sighting.

In 2002 the cable television channel Sci Fi commissioned the Roper Agency to poll Americans about their belief in UFO's. Their findings showed that the efforts to acclimate us to the idea of alien life had met with a great deal of success. While the numbers may vary a bit from country to country (for instance more Canadians believe in UFO's than U.S. citizens) the Roper Poll was only held in the USA. The poll showed that an astonishing 75% of the population was at least partially prepared for proof of extraterrestrial existence. Half the population was quite willing to accept the proof without feeling the need to panic that the government has always claimed as their motivation for withholding what information they had. 55% of the people feel that the government is withholding vast amounts of critically important information about the UFO phenomena from them.

Over two-thirds of Americans firmly believe intelligent life exists in other parts of our galaxy and the universe and nearly half are convinced that some of it found us first and have routinely visited this planet to have a look at us. Fully 12% of the population state that they or others they trust and believe have actually interacted in some form with these aliens and their mysterious craft. A meager 1.4% feel they have possibly been abducted by some of these creatures but realize that 1.4% still equals nearly three million people who have strong belief in aliens but not in any benign way.

With this increased belief and acceptance of the reality of aliens and UFO's it does leave us with a question or two. Are we being set up to accept them openly on our planet as a precursor to becoming subservient to a technologically superior race? Is it possible that the Annunaki of the ancient Sumerian culture are getting ready to return after one of their planet Nibiru's orbits and reestablish their reign on a planet they feel they rightfully own? Is it possible that even more nefariously, is it a mass conspiracy by our own governments to "pretend" to be aliens appearing to force swift and possibly totalitarian control on the people of this planet?

Belief is a wonderful thing to experience, but it should still always be tempered with an objective observation of discoverable fact so you are not led astray by manipulated beliefs.

Stanley A. Fulham

The late military officer, author, and UFO researcher, Stanley A. Fulham, died on December the 19th of 2010. Fulham began his interest in the UFO phenomena early in his military career with investigations of the Foo Fighters seen by both Allied and Axis pilots in World War II. Mr. Fulham continued a life-long interest even as his career led him to become a senior ranking intelligence officer in the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) until his retirement.

Barely two weeks before his death, Mr. Fulham shared a prediction he had based in part on his knowledge gleaned from the years of UFO research, his NORAD activities, and "channeling" from what he believed to be alien beings. As a precursor to finally revealing themselves openly to humanity, Mr. Fulham predicted an almost unprecedented display of UFO sightings over several major cities around the world. The predictions are in four parts:

A. There will be a major UFO display over Moscow between the end of the first part of January 2011 and the second week of January 2011.

B. This "display" will be followed by a major display over London approximately seven-days later.

C. Interventions will then accelerate, not so much over our cities, but dispersed over our continents with sightings increasing in duration. The intent of these interventions is to increase mankind's acceptance of the alien phenomena, so that hopefully, we will be prepared to accept a face-to-face encounter and communicate, perhaps as early as next year (2011).

D. Objective: A dramatic introduction of the alien reality; an appearance at the United Nations.

With these statements made public to everyone interested in UFO's, it is no wonder that people were ready with camcorders in hand to film the beginnings of this historic prediction. The watchers didn't have long to wait. By January 7th, 2011 large orange/gold spheres were filmed over Moscow (See it Here) by Oleg Tarabanov of Moscow. View his YouTube Channel and the videos Here. It appears from his posts that he caught these mysterious craft on several occasions between the 7th and the 16th of January.

In keeping with the plausibility of Mr. Fulham's predictions, by the 14th of January there were UFO sightings being reported over London. Regrettably the Brits were not as good at capturing these supposed sightings on video as the Russians. Of the half dozen or more videos posted to YouTube, none seem to be very conclusive and one in particular HERE is a more pathetic attempt at hoaxing a UFO than the "special effects" of the Flash Gordon television show in the mid 1950's. Still, reports have been made by more serious-minded observers.

Close-up of UFO over Moscow

It will be interesting, to say the least, over the next few months to see how many reports and videos of the spheres will be seen and filmed over other major cities around the world. If Mr. Fulham's predictions are valid, then it should not be long before such things are commonplace and expected. If the "aliens" continue to be shy around us Earth-based humans, then the sightings will continue with no more understanding of what they are than we have now.

If Mr. Fulham's predictions are true, then soon we will know for a certainty we are not alone, although we may no longer be in charge of our own destiny. If the alien saviors/conquerors do not appear by summertime, then we will most likely have to continue as we are now; muddling by and hoping we do not destroy ourselves before we CAN meet some otherworldly intelligence we might be able to learn from.

Are humans ready for a real alien encounter?

Are humans ready for a real alien encounter?

In today’s high tech 21st century world, the idea of meeting up with an extraterrestrial being doesn’t seem that unusual to most people. But are humans really ready to accept government evidence that confirmed their existence? Or would people panic and cause worldwide fear and confusion?

In recent weeks, UFO enthusiasts have waited for things like Wiki Leaks to give them proof of years of government cover-ups on the existence of UFOs or extraterrestrials. While the first set from WikiLeaks didn’t really say much, who knows what the rest may bring? That, plus it seems like every day there are more and more sightings of UFOs or other strange incidents.

We have TV shows dedicated to aliens and UFOs, resorts and conventions where fans dress up like them and kids that dress up like aliens at Halloween. We are desensitized to the whole idea and have been for a long time.

With all this happening around us all over the world, a California psychologist is now saying human beings are more than likely ready to accept such things without too much panic. Dr. Albert Harrison of the University of California`s Davis campus said recently that since modern day humans have gotten used to things like word processors, electronic calculators, avatars and cell phones, that we are used to such things.

Combine that with the fact that things like computers, smart phones, space stations and other things were even possible a hundred years ago, and you can see that today we are used to new and unique things. Had a UFO came down from the skies even 100 years ago, some people would probably have thought the world was coming to an end and turned to religion for an explanation. It’s likely there would have been mass chaos and panic.

But since today’s generations have watched countless hours of science fiction movies about UFOs and aliens, both benevolent and malevolent, it’s likely we’d all take it in stride. Some of us would even cheer and welcome the whole experience.

We have even grown more likely to accept things like other dimensions or time travel thanks to television and science programs that have taught us about multi-verse theories and the string theory that suggests the possibility of up to 11 alternate universes or dimensions. You can thank TV shows like Star Trek, Quantum Leap and Alien Nation for starters, and movies like Star Wars, Avatar, and countless others.

So, should the governments of the world have absolute proof in the existence of UFOs and alien encounters, let’s hope it comes out. It’s likely that most of us will just turn to our neighbor and say something like, “See, I told you they were real” and just blame it on the government like they always do and probably be madder about another government cover-up then be frightened about a possible alien conspiracy to take over the world.

As for me, bring it on. I would love to meet my fellow beings from other worlds and I hope that someday maybe I get the chance to do so.

That Unidentified Flying Objects are appearing in record numbers all around the world is an undeniable fact. For those who wonder what this increased UFO activity might mean it is essential that they keep up with the most current news and sighting reports possible. Due to the dedication of a vast number of investigators and interested people, the Internet has become the single greatest source of information about the UFO phenomena. Regrettably it can also be the greatest source of misinformation and hoaxes but, with a little care, the facts can be more easily separated from the lies.

Undoubtedly the most significant website dedicated to spreading information and documentation of mysterious sightings is MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network. Comprised of thousands of people worldwide, this organization is dedicated to "The Analytical and Scientific Study of the UFO Phenomenon for the Benefit of Humanity." This work includes pouring through all the reports of unusual sightings around the world and trying to determine just what caused it. In their efforts to avoid sensationalism MUFON has been accused of being a debunking organization, however, their focus is actually to instill as much fact as possible in their conclusions.

One of the features offered on their website is a listing of all the reports sent to them. Conclusions are shared after an investigation of the facts has been performed. A daily check of their Last 20 Sighting Reports will help keep you informed of the latest breaking news about what is being reported to MUFON. These reports often contain raw footage, pictures, and audio whenever it has been provided with the report.

In conjunction with UFO Stalker, MUFON provides a link to a real-time map of the latest 25 sightings reported, with links back to the case file at MUFON. They also provide links to other reporting agencies including the National UFO Reporting Center and the Center for UFO Studies. There are articles media concerning past UFO cases so that one can peruse a vast amount of information about the phenomena and add to your own understanding of the widespread scope and major implications of such mysterious worldwide occurrences. This awareness from an organization that attempts to present the most factual information is doubly important in regards to how little information is shared with people by the governments that are supposed to protect them.

While a great deal of their information is provided by MUFON, the website About.com also provides a very exhaustive section on the UFO phenomena. Unlike MUFON, About does not investigate cases but catalogues and reports on a wide range of information regarding the potential alien connection to UFO's, crop circles, abductions, and the hoaxes that try to divert people away from the facts. About also takes reports from several of the other major UFO reporting centers and presents it in article format for easier consumption by the curious and intrigued. They provide a good working basis for UFO Basics, both current cases and famous historical sightings and encounters, and information of what can best be gleaned about the extra-terrestrial life forms we may be dealing with.

It is a well-known educational axiom that Knowledge is Power. Keeping informed and up-to-date about the greater mysteries that are reported in our sky and on our planet can provide one with a better understanding of what may be a crucial underlying aspect of how we interact with our governing agencies. It may also provide us with a glimpse of a much larger and more populated universe than we might have originally imagined.

Wikileaks releases UFO cable

WikiLeaks Releases First UFO Cable Info

To the delight of UFO fans, WikiLeaks has finally released the first of what could be thousands of U.S. diplomatic cables that mention UFOs.

Founder Julian Assange had announced weeks ago that he had classified information proving the existence and worldwide cover up of aliens and UFOs.

Until now, UFO enthusiasts and news people alike were beginning to believe it was all hype and no truth. This first cable, which was released to the Norwegian newspaper Afenposten, doesn’t exactly prove the existence of anything extraterrestrial, but it does show that Russia was interested in them, as well as had spent quite a bit of cash on their study.

The cable is based on statements by Yuriy Zhadobin, chairman of the intelligence service of the former Soviet Republic of Belarus. In the released cable, Zhadobin makes statements in which he expresses regret about the current day’s lack of funding for UFO and extraterrestrial study. He said that during the time of the Soviet Union, his department had nearly unlimited funds to study UFOs and extraterrestrial paranormal activity, but that nowadays no one seems to be interested in funding such things.

Conspiracy theorists are chomping at the bit to get even the tiniest of details in whatever fashion they can get them, so look forward to any and all possible data.

Some reporters have suggested the data could contain confirmation of past claims by both US military and British military pilots that extra terrestrials have gotten into British nuclear missile sites and rendered the weapons inside useless.
Others have said it could involve more information similar to

what Ben Rich, former head of Locheed Skunk Works (which is Locheed’s secret research and development location) related to the world before his death back in 1995. Rich alluded to facts that, if true, would prove the existence of aliens and spacecraft from outer space. His statements at the time also gave truth to some reports that some of the military aircraft being flown are reverse engineered from alien ships design.

Rich allegedly spoke about the U.S. already having a way to do things like travel to the stars and scan the body for cancers, but that the technologies were tied up in government red tape and would take an “act of God” to be able to use the data to help anyone in the near future.

UFO enthusiasts, along with other interested parties, have been anxiously anticipating the release of these cables since early in December when Assange first made his announcement. He is currently out on bail pending sexual assault charges in Sweden, so it is thought that perhaps the release of the information has been delayed due to his legal battles.

WikiLeaks, which began in 1996, is an international service organization that helps whistleblowers and journalists make public classified or otherwise secret information gleaned from government sources.
Recently, Twitter was told to give up tweets from WikiLeaks supporters who were involved in the release of the classified data the whistle-blowing website has been putting out.

So, are the so called UFO cables yet to release any information that is actually more worthwhile than whether or not the USSR had a large budget to study the UFO phenomenon? Millions of UFO and extraterrestrial enthusiasts are standing by.
